LTCC's campus, first built in 1988, is set amid 164 acres of forest near the lake. The college offers state of the art "smart" technology in classrooms, approximately 200 computers are available to students, including two PC labs, one Mac lab, an internet café, computer stations and wireless access in the library. The campus offers a first class gymnasium and fitness center and a culinary facility and dining hall/student center both constructed in 2002. Additionally, LTCC has had no incidents of major crime on its campus. LTCC is a small two-year college with approximately 300 full-time and 3,000 part-time students. The College offers courses necessary for transfer to a four-year college or university and has transfer admission agreements with schools like UC-San Diego, UC-Santa Barbara, and UC-Davis. Lake Tahoe Community College offers 36 different associate degrees and 20 certificates. Students planning to transfer to a four-year university also have a wide variety of options. LTCC offers the equivalent of the first two years of a four-year university program. Students can then transfer to such world-renowned universities as U.C. Berkeley, U.C. Davis, Stanford University and U.C. Los Angeles and earn a bachelor's degree. The staff and faculty are dedicated to providing the highest quality education.
